Michael Smith
Hello! I'm Michael Smith, and I'm excited to be joining Mountainview Elementary as a 5th grade Math and Science teacher! Although this is my first year at Mountainview, I'm beginning my 32nd year in education.
I grew up in Waco and graduated from Waco High School before earning my bachelor's degree from Baylor University and my master's degree from Texas State University.
My wife, Melissa, and I have been married for 33 years. We have two children, Matthew and Mackenzie, who are both graduates of Texas Tech University.
I love teaching Math and Science and helping students discover that learning can be fun, challenging, and rewarding. I can't wait to meet you and have an amazing school year together!
