Meet the Counselor
Amber Laningham
Hello, my name is Amber Laningham, and I am super excited to be joining the
Mustang Family here at Mountainview. This will be my 31st year in education, as well as the past two years working at the Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network at the Klaras Center for Families. I have 20 years’ experience as an elementary classroom teacher, and this will make my 10 th year in school counseling. I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education at Baylor University and my masters in School Counseling at UT Tyler. I grew up in the small town of Evant, but my home was actually in “the middle of nowhere” on a dairy. Although this would feel like “boot-camp” to students today, it actually instilled a strong work ethic and an appreciation for working hard to accomplish a goal. I am blessed to be a mother, a Nana, a teacher/counselor, and now a “cheerleader” at Mountainview with the goal of fulfilling my life’s passion -instilling into every student, the truth that they have worth, potential, the opportunity for life-long growth, and purpose, all rolled together with the self-confidence to become anything they want to be in life…No limits! No labels! Just excitement for their future.
Please feel free to contact me with any concerns you may have for your child, and we will partner together to resolve any problem. I am enthusiastic about what this year holds in store for this beautiful Mustang family I am blessed to join!
